About Justin

Justin R. Burwinkel, Au.D. is an audiologist, researcher, serial inventor and photographer.

 

Dr. Burwinkel works within the Research & Development organization of a market-leading hearing instrument manufacturer.  There, his work has advanced the understanding of human hearing and has led to several “World’s First” solutions and numerous inventions related to fall risk management, artificial intelligence, and hearing aid connectivity.

 

While at the University of Cincinnati, Dr. Burwinkel studied Audiology, Communication Sciences & Disorders, and business.  He continues to collaborate with the team at the university’s Facility for Education and Testing of Canine Hearing and Laboratory for Animal Bioacoustics (FETCHLAB) Center.

 

Many also know Dr. Burwinkel for his passion for photography and multimedia production.  Dr. Burwinkel has competed as a landscape photographer and provided professional portrait services since 2007.  He has contracted his video production services for a variety of projects, including a series of educational videos supplementing Audiology textbooks, the curation of multimedia artifacts viewed in the Kenner And The Building Of An Empire exhibit of the Cincinnati Museum Center at Union Terminal, and a Toy Industry Hall of Fame inductee presentation, among others.
